DEMOLITION
How can renovation possibly begin without demolition?! At Hanchao Contracting, we have multiple pick-up trucks and many physically fit men to gut your old floors and walls in no time.
If only gutting the wall, demolition work price is usually based on time, since the quality of material within the walls may be unpredictable. If doing complete wall removals to open up a room, the work can be contracted by size/area. Some re-framing may be anticipated for gutted walls. In those cases if the re-framing takes less than 10% of total demolition time, material fees will be omitted.
We supply our own clean-up gear and will ensure ventilation and cleanliness during and after the demolition. Of course, you are free to choose to keep your old walls and paint over it as well, especially if your home is more than 30 years old. This is due to potential asbestos or vermiculite within the walls. Those elements are health hazard when inhaled, so abatement contractors shall be arranged to remove and inspect the materials.
